The Lebanon E-strategy meeting of the United Nations Information, Communication Technologies Task Force Arab Network will be held from December 9-10, 2002, at the American University in Beirut.

The purpose of this meeting is to develop the ICT policy and strategy, with multi-stakeholder participation, for the United Nation's ICT Network in Lebanon. The Secretary General of the United Nations officially launched the Information and Communication Technologies Task force on November 20, 2001 to form partnerships with public, private, non-profit and multilateral stakeholders in order to establish networks as forums for addressing development issues. The Arab Regional Network will provide region-specific support to and strengthening of the UN ICT Task Force in its activities to help bridge the digital divide.
