BEIRUT - Prime Minister Fouad Siniora received in his office the day before yesterday Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGorg), and his accompanying delegation, with the attendance of Mr. Jean Oghassabian, Minister of State for Administrative Development.

Mr. Abu-Ghazaleh stated that the focus of the meeting was related to an action plan for implementing an electronic government system for the work of embassies and consulates, in order to facilitate serving citizens and achieving the largest amount of transparency in governmental services.

Abu-Ghazaleh explained that the program was prepared in consultation with the ministries of finance, foreign affairs and administrative development, under the supervision of PM Fouad Siniora. The project aims to provide services through the usage of internet technologies, so that Lebanon can be on equal footing with the more advanced nations in this field.
